"Arochem’s" story begins with an explanation first of Fragrance. Fragrance is an essence of life. It helps us to feel good, think better and live well. A bad odour is always a turn off. Fragrances have their holy presence in each and every aspect of our daily life .i.e. a fragrant early morning, a sweaty afternoon and the wet-dusty aroma after the first rain. Fragrance of a cold-chilly night, smell of your delicious food, aroma of your loved ones, odour of your success...Fragrances cannot be found. It has to be felt in our inspirations our ideas and imaginations.

Fragrances are created from essential oils present in plants, flowers, fruits, barks, roots, and animal secretions. And what precious pricey substances they are! In Grasse, France, the centre of the World Perfumery Industry, workers rise early to pick Jasmine before dawn. When the sun peeks over the horizon, the flower loses twenty percent of its aroma. A skilled harvester can pick about a pound of flowers in forty five minutes, or five thousand tiny blossoms. But only a few drops of essence will emerge after processing. Eight hundred pounds of Jasmine flowers, or four million flowers, yield just one pound of concentrated oil. And the price of the essences? One pound of this oil, called Jasmine Absolute will fetch from 80,000 to 1, 00,000, depending on quality, while Rose Absolute can cost as much as 2,50,000 to 3,00,000 per pound.

There is more. Indian Sandalwood must mature for thirty to fifty years before harvesting. Three thousand pounds of bergamot fruit from Calabria, Italy, will yield only two pounds of essence. Now consider that many perfumes have hundreds of different essential oils, and you will realize that the precious artistry and gifts of nature that go into each bottle is staggering.

Natural essences are often blended with laboratory-created ingredients from natural or chemical compounds. A synthetic may be created as an imitation of natural aromas or as an entirely new aroma. Synthetics are far from being unworthy substitutes for nature, many are more tenacious and costly than natural ingredients. Only a few hundred fragrances are available to perfumery from nature, synthetic fragrances offer the perfumer thousands. The combinations available today to the perfumer are virtually unlimited.

Who we are and how we work? Perfumer’s..; creating finest fragrances. We are part scientist’, part artist’ and our nose is our secret weapon. It can remember and recognize 3000 different scents!!!... Using our excellent sense of smell and precision scales, we mix different aromas together into an experimental sample. We then smell our creation on a small smelling strip. If we have found that perfect balance of aromas, the result can be a world class fragrance...We not only create Perfumes, but conceptualizes them as well. Perfumes may stir up a lot of passion and romance in people, but the art of making a perfume requires skill, dedication and a highly trained nose of a perfume creator. And Arochem does have the “best noses “ in the industry; their creativity has produced some of the best perfumes of our times.

"Arochem" is a very well known Entity in the world of Fragrance Industry. It was established four decades back on 20th Sep 1969 and has been actively in operation since then. The founder, Late Shri Mohan Bhai Patel, had been closely involved in its manufacturing activities.

In doing so Arochem had developed strong R&D for this purpose which in turn enlarged new markets and opportunities.

"Arochem" is now being looked after by three dynamic young well-versed successors of Late Shri Mohan Bhai Patel. The Entrepreneurs are young though they have acquired the dexterity of five decades of their ancestral experience. They also have a wide range of contacts in respect of basic ingredients so also the customers who have the symphony of varied nasal test in the flood of hyper markets these days. They have thus acquired the sense of customer’s actual requirement as also a deep sense of their pulse reading to assess their basic requirements.
